Ways to Give
|
While many of JFS programs are funded
through grants and government contracts, we depend on the community
for financial support for those programs that do not have other
sources of support or when the total cost cannot be met.
JFS has three major fund-raising sources:
The Annual Friends Campaign
You can be a Friend of JFS. This annual
campaign welcomes donations in any amount. As a Friend of JFS,
contributors receive our newsletter and notices of all JFS events,
but more importantly, help JFS help the most vulnerable in our
community.

The JFS Fund - Endowment Fund
The JFS Fund offers opportunities to support Jewish Family Service through planned giving. The JFS Fund was created to provide important permanent funding for vital services. Donations ensure that JFS will be here for as long as people need us. All gifts of $2000 and above will be acknowledged on the beautiful Rosalie and Sidney Simon Wall of Honor in the lobby. The Heritage Society
The Heritage Society was formed to recognize
friends of JFS who have made bequests to the agency in their
wills or estate plans. Through a planned gift to the JFS Fund,
you can create a lasting legacy of loving kindness and help
ensure that--from generation to generation--there will always
be sustenance and support.
Bequests allow individuals to make much larger gifts than they
could during their lifetime. This is particularly appealing
to donors who want their gift to "amount to something," but
haven't had the means to make a substantial donation before.
A bequest may be earmarked for homecare for frail seniors, emergency
services for families in crisis, or simply for use where most
needed. Whatever you choose, you'll have the satisfaction of
knowing that your gift will live on, providing these services
and improving people's lives for years to come. Just as you
wanted. Just as you planned.
JFS also sponsors fund-raising events each year including our Annual Women's Golf Tournament and our Annual House Tour. Both events are well-attended and raise significant amounts of money for Jewish Family Service.
