Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) has once again been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Dennis Schuman Charitable Foundation to benefit The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore. The funds will support this neighbor helping neighbor community-based program for adults age 50 and older.

“We are grateful to the Dennis Schuman Charitable Foundation for selecting JFS to receive this generous grant,” said Andrea Steinberg, JFS Chief Executive Officer. “With nearly 200 Village members, including 15 Holocaust survivors in the region, this funding assists JFS to help older adults as their needs continue to evolve.”

For more than 11 years, the Village has offered essential programs and services including grocery shopping, transportation, intergenerational events, care coordination, Kosher meals delivery, friendly check-ins and more. As Village member Lynne Walters shared, “I have enjoyed so many programs and services in my three years as a member. I encourage everyone to join the Village and take advantage of everything it has to offer.”

Established as a legacy following his passing in 2013, the Dennis Schuman Charitable Foundation predominantly provides grants to Jewish organizations and charities for scientific, literacy, educational, charitable or religious purposes throughout the United States.
