JFS Friends Fundraising Campaign

Every Donation Helps Someone in Need

With escalating costs in rent, food, and other essentials, Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties (JFS) continues to see an influx of need for assistance from community residents. In 2023, JFS helped more than 13,000 people with supportive housing, hearty and nutritious food, counseling, vocational services, older adult programs, and more. Regardless of the need, JFS is here to help.

However, we cannot do it alone. At JFS, we rely on friends to support our agency so staff can continue to provide assistance as well as programs and services for people throughout the area. When considering your much-appreciated donation, please know that every dollar helps. For example:

  • $50 will cover the cost of Kosher meals for a week
  • $75 will provide emergency food for a family from the JFS pantry
  • $125 will offset the cost of a counseling session for someone with anxiety or stress
  • $250 will provide emergency shelter for a family who otherwise might be homeless

This year, we hope to count on your JFS support in order to achieve our $40,000 Friends Campaign fundraising goal.

Last year, thanks to the generosity of friends, the on-site pantry distributed more than 68,000 pounds of food to over 9,600 Atlantic County residents, including 1,962 children. In addition, JFS provided 4,450 Kosher meals, more than 7,000 counseling sessions with children, teenagers, and adults, and hosted nearly 120 virtual and in-person programs for older adults.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the JFS Friends Campaign. Your contribution can be mailed to Jewish Family Service, 607 North Jerome Avenue, Margate, NJ 08402 or made online at www.jfsatlantic.org.
