Counseling

JFS is a leader in providing therapy and specializes in serving people impacted by trauma. Our approach centers on building a strong, trusting relationship with a therapist to foster meaningful and lasting improvements. Counseling effectively enhances life quality by teaching stress management, resolving personal issues, and modifying behaviors. We offer counseling services in our offices in Atlantic City, Margate, and Cape May Courthouse. Additionally, in appropriate circumstances, we can provide counseling in-home or via telehealth.

JFS therapists are trained to provide culturally relevant services to people of color and people of the Latinx, indigenous, and LGBTQIA+ communities. Our office locations foster an atmosphere of inclusivity, where staff members serve as allies to a broad spectrum of individuals, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all.

JFS is a trusted referral source offering specialized, evidence-based care accessible to all families through private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare or out-of-pocket. We are inclusive, welcoming everyone, regardless of age, race, religion, cultural background, or sexual orientation.

Counseling Services

We offer cutting-edge, evidence-based interventions to youth by a team of highly-trained specialists. Our therapists recognize that children and adolescents frequently express their need for additional support not through direct communication, but rather declining academic performance, outbursts, and diminished self-assurance. Therapists provide coping skills that can alleviate depression, anxiety and stress that can be caused by situations such as bullying, divorce and trauma exposure. Our mission is to empower children, adolescents, and their families with the essential tools to unlock their full potential and thrive as their best selves.
