Village Film Society
Tuesday, March 11 from 10:30am to 11:30am
Join Village Film Enthusiast & Historic Cinematic Buff Tom Celandine and Village Community Specialist Tina Serota for a discussion about the Academy Award nominated motion picture, The Six Triple Eight, written and directed by Tyler Perry. Based on the true story of the 6888 Central Postal Directory Battalion, the first all-black, all-female WWII unit sent overseas with an extraordinary mission. The film, starring Kerry Washington and Oprah Winfrey, showcases these unsung heroes who shattered barriers and delivered hope. The movie is available on Netflix. Lunch Around Town

Enjoy a leisurely lunch with friends while supporting a local restaurant. This month, we will dine at the Knife and Fork Inn, 3600 Atlantic Avenue, Atlantic City. Come prepared for good food and conversation. Order off the menu and pay individually. RSVP by March 12.

Your world in 60 minutes! Join a fast-paced discussion on neighborhood happenings, technology, social topics, world events, the arts, and more. Memoir Workshop – Zoom Only

Experience the thrill of capturing your life’s adventures, history, and ancestry with the Memoir Workshop led by award-winning author and Drexel University Director of Certificate Program in Writing and Publishing, Harriet Levin Millan. Memory Café: Ocean City

Caregivers and their loved ones living with Dementia are invited to join Village and UMC representatives in a Dementia friendly space. Experience creativity and social connections through art, music, gentle movements, and more. Attend in-person at the Ocean City Free Public Library, 1735 Simpson Avenue, Ocean City. RSVP by March 18.
Throwback Thursday

Join Board of Jewish Education Executive Director Josh Cutler and Village Community Specialist Tina Serota as they present an educational brunch program which will focus on Jewish Farmers in the Garden State. Memory Connections
Monday, March 31 from 1pm to 2pm
Join Village Community Specialist Tina Serota, Alzheimer’s Association’s Mary Beth Lewis, Angelic Health’s Carolyn Johnson Peterson, Bratton Law Group’s Jen Hand, UMC’s Michele Musto, JCC’s Bridget Giblin, and Music Therapist Karen Mellita for a gathering of Caregivers of loved ones with Dementia and the person living with the disease. Caregivers will participate in a support group led by a trained professional while their loved one enjoys music therapy. Light refreshments will be served. Attend in-person at the Katz JCC Boardroom, 501 North Jerome Avenue, Margate. RSVP by March 24.

The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore is a membership program for adults age 50+ and offers Grocery Shopping & Delivery, Intergenerational Events, Transportation, Kosher Meals and more.
