Join Thoughts from the Bookshelf Facilitator Pat Goldstein and Village Community Specialist Tina Serota for a book club gathering. This month, the group will discuss the masterful debut novel, Wandering Souls, by Cecile Pin. The book captures a family’s relentless pursuit of a better life following a past marked by war and loss. Food for Thought: 10/7 One Hundred Human Stories with Journalist and Author Lee Yaron

Join us as we welcome acclaimed Haaretz Reporter Lee Yaron and learn about her masterful work of investigative journalism in the book, 10/7 One Hundred Human Stories. Join Village Film Enthusiast & Historic Cinematic Buff Tom Celandine and Village Community Specialist Tina Serota for a discussion about the classic holiday favorite celebrating its 70th anniversary, White Christmas. The film stars Rosemary Clooney, Bing Crosby, and Danny Kaye, with music by Irving Berlin. Relax and enjoy the dancing, singing and warmth of the holiday while sipping hot chocolate and nibbling cookies. The movie can be viewed for a fee on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google Play Movies, and YouTube. The film is also available at the Ventnor and Margate Libraries. Women & Men’s Coffee & Conversation: Foundations of Caregiving, Holiday Edition

Join Village Community Specialist Tina Serota, JCC’s Bridget Giblin, Angelic Health’s Carolyn Johnson Peterson, Alzheimer’s Association’s Mary Beth Lewis, and UMC’s Michele Musto as they host professional speakers on topics that support an individual’s ability to live their best life. Whether you are a caregiver or visiting caregivers, Jen Hand, MS, CDP, Elder Care Coordinator at Bratton Law Group, will help explore these roles and changes that may occur during the holidays. She will discuss how to navigate the responsibilities of caring for a loved one, building a support network, and managing caregiver and loved one’s year-round stress. Village Holiday Social

Guests will enjoy an early evening holiday get together while spending time with friends and neighbors. Dance to music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and holiday favorites performed by the Package Goods band and singers. Attendees will enjoy refreshments and a chance to win door prizes. The festivities take place in the Katz JCC Auditorium, 501 North Jerome Avenue, Margate. This event is free for Holocaust Survivors, Village Members, JCC Members, and UMC residents. For non-members, the cost is $5 payable prior to Dec. 5.

Experience the thrill of capturing life’s adventures, history, and ancestry with the Memoir Workshop led by award-winning author and Drexel University Director of Certificate Program in Writing and Publishing, Harriet Levin Millan.
